They're Bringing Who Back? SWEET!

I haven't been able to get my hands on the Darkwing Duck comics being published by Boom Comics. However, I figured I was better off just waiting for the paperback edition so I can get the issues all at once.

So, I went onto amazon to see when it would be available. While doing so, I noticed the second paperback of Darkwing Duck (which will probably be the story after the one that's going on right now) and noticed something about the cover.

IT'S DARK WARRIOR DUCK! SWEET! They're bringing him back!

For those who didn't watch the series, the Darkwing Duck look alike on the tank is from the tv series. To put it simply, he's from an alternative future of what DW would become if her ever lost Gosling. And he is what happens when Darkwing Duck gets dead serious (and I mean that literally) He rules the city under an iron fist and (this line got cut from the episodes) mention he hasn't used a gas gun in years. You can easily argue this was the writers attempt to parody The Return of The Dark Knight comic.

He was only in the tv series once and they're bringing back into the comic. ^___^ Good call writers, good call.

OMG Darkwarrior Duck! Kick ass! ^_^

It still pisses me off that the Darkwarrior episode was so heavily edited in syndication (especially since I don't think that episode made it onto DVD). It loses some of it's punch without the "gas gun" line and the scene where he points the gun at Gosalyn.

That episode is on DVD (the second set I think) but unfortunately it's the edited version. I think it's one of my favorite episodes of the series. It will be interesting to see how DW will react to seeing this other nasty version of himself.
