Okay, I caved and ordered the Lina plush from rightstuf. XD Also, the nice thing about working in a craft store is that I keep seeing good possible stocking stuffers.

I think most Slayers fans will agree that the first time they watched Slayers, no one imagined Martina and Zangulus not only getting together, but to be the only canon couple to be officially married.

It was so random, but that's also what makes it so adorable. I guess what's so surprising about this pairing is that Zangulus was willing to be wanting to settle down. Considering how obsessed he was in the first season with trying to prove he's the strongest, he would be the last guy in Slayers I would be thinking he wants get married. Also, after all of the "heartbreaks" and crushes Martina went though, it's nice to see that there is actually a guy for her out there.

This is a good choice. It was a romance done on super-speed crack with most of the development taking place off-screen, yet it works. I'm surprised no one really ficced the moments between when Martina and Zangulus were left behind to when they appeared the next day at the inn.

Great choice! Martina and Zangulus were such a refreshing change from the romantically constipated main cast!

Honestly, Martina was one of the highlights of NEXT for me. Her character development was really gradual and well done. And I loved how she was pivotal to the defeat of Phibrizzo despite being useless as a fighter when compared to the other main characters. I can understand how a lone wolf like Zangulus could fall for her overnight and decide to settle down for her.
....though I can't help wondering if Zangulus knew how messed up Xoana really was before he agreed to marry 'Princess' Martina. LOL
