Well, I've started classes and it does look like my second term will be a bit easier than last term. at least I hope it will (crosses fingers)

[livejournal.com profile] secondlina I got your package today and I love it! (hugs) Thank you so much, I had no idea you drew a Zuko/Katara. It was a nice surprise. I'm planning to frame it and put it up in my room. I'll take good care of it. ^_~

However, I did discover a bit of interesting/distrubing news.

Long story short, M. Night Shyamalan and Paramount are going to make a live action movie based on "Avatar: The Last Airbender". @_@

I have to say I have mix feelings about this. While a part of me is excited that an Avatar movie is being made, why are they making it live action? Since this is going to be based on a cartoon series wouldn't it make more sense to make it an animated movie? I will admit, it would be interesting to see a live action version, but to me it would make more sense to make an animated movie first and THEN try making a live action version.

However, I'm biggest issue is that Shyamalan is the one making it. Now, I mean no offense to Shyamalan fans, and I have heard both bad and good things about the guy, but I find he's an odd choice for this. Surely, that are other people who would be a better choice, especailly since it's suppose to be a movie for children. I wonder what Mike and Bryan (the creators of Avatar) must think of this? I just hope that Shyamalan will ask a lot of Mike and Bryan's opinions while making this, otherwise, I'm going to worry what kind of movie he will make.
