Being meaning to make a post on this, the a few days ago
gullwhacker stumbled upon this on youtube
This is opening of
Nighthood aka
The Adventures of Arsene Lupin and all of the other episodes are up too. Funny story actually, this was originally a French cartoon which was called The Adventures of Arsene Lupin, but for some reason when they translated it into English they change the title to Nighthood. I never understood why the did that, unless it was they way to avoid confusion from the Lupin III anime. @_@
Anyway, this show only had one season, but it was good show. The character himself is based on the Arsene Lupin novels, except this series takes place during the 1930s. The plot itself was rather episodic, and the big general plot was stopping Karst the main villain of the show, but it was still fun.
The characters were fun, the animation was good, it had good voice acting and it was probably one of the more grownup cartoons for the 1990s. Maybe that's why YTV always seem to air the show so late at night. If anything else, it got me interested in learning more about the 1930s era.
Anyway, I had to post a link to one of my favorite episodes. When Lupin goes to find the Titanic. Now, if only they would release this series onto DVD. XD
( Episode parts 1, 2 and 3 ahead )
