Hey guys, Stu and I are now back and we had a blast at Fanexpo.

I did take pictures, but I'm still recovering from the con so I'll probably be posting them later.

I did meet Veronica Taylor and she LOVED the Amelia doll I made her. She actually asked me to signed the doll for her, which surprised me. I never thought a favorite voice actor of mine would ask for my autograph. She mentioned that both Amelia and Ash have a special place in her heart so she was very happy to get the doll. (And yes, she mentioned that someone had given her a pokeball at the last con before fanexpo. *grins at [personal profile] tsukeru *) She was also with her 12 year old daughter who couldn't resist adding her own comments to the panel.

Fan: Do you ever do voices at home?
Veronica: No, never.
Daughter: YEAH RIGHT!

XD You could tell that Veronica was very touched by how loved she is by by the fans and she's so nice in person. I also got to take part in a steampunk photoshoot that was awesome. I'm thinking about joining the Steampunk Canada website, it's just too bad I don't have a local New Brunswick group to join. They suggested starting my own, but I just don't know if I have the time for it right now.

I also got Jeff Smith to sign a book and also they had some Disney artists doing free sketches. They were there to help promote a new Disney video game called Disney universe. It looked a bit interesting, but I don't think I'll buy it. I got a drawing of Stitch wearing Mickey's sorcerer hat. I'm so going to frame it.

In conclusion, while I had a lot of fun and got quality time with [personal profile] savvyliterate and [personal profile] secondlina I don't think I'll go again next year. It was fun, but I think I'll just stick to nice small cons for awhile.

All in all, I am glad I went.
