Applejack Cosplay 2012

I came back from Animaritime yesterday and this year, the theme was steampunk.  So, I decided to do a steampunk Applejack and I got to meet up with fellow pony cosplayers.  Here are some of the photos of the shoots.

Not the best shot, but it's a good close up to the freckles I put on my face.

This is probably my favorite photo taken of me, it shows off my skirt and everything.

Strawberry Squares

Recently, my Mom took an old recipes of my grandma and updated and it turned out delicious!


I figured I had to share this with you guys, especially those who can't resist strawberries.

STRAWBERRY SQUARES





Graham wafer or chocolate wafer crust according to recipe on box, enough for 1 crust
Mix together. Press gently into 8 x 8 pan (glass pan is good). Put in fridge to chill.

1 pkg. or tub of (frozen) strawberries… (thawed)......in light or heavy syrup. If whole berries, cut into pieces
1 pkg. strawberry Jello (small package) do NOT add any water
1 envelope of Knox gelatin…sprinkle over all

Mix together in pot. Bring to a boil on stove…..(stir with wooden spoon)….boil 5 minutes. Set aside. Let it cool and thicken a bit.

Fold 3/4 of a thawed large tub of Cool Whip into the COOLED strawberry mixture.
Spread over the wafer base. Put in fridge.

Can frost or dollop more cool whip on top and decorate with real strawberries. Store in fridge. Cut in squares to serve.

Can double recipe for a 9 by 13 pan.
