I hear you on the sleeves. I dislike the sleeveless look simply because I don't have the upper arms for it. Granted, I do have some sleeveless tops and dresses that I've worn, but I have had a sweater or a shawl of some sort over it to cover my arms. You can't exactly do that with a wedding dress, however.
