Day #15: The first movie you saw



I went with the first Disney movie I saw at the movie theater and that honour goes to Peter Pan. And I got a funny story to go with this. I was about 4-5 when my mother thought I was old enough to go to a movie theater. For the movie, I was fine and wasn't scared or anything, until it got to the part when Captain Hook is forcing Wendy to walk the plank.

Was I scared? Oh no, I got angry. So angry in fact, that I got up from my seat before my mother could stop and ran up to the screen. I waved my little finger and yelled at the Captain to "Let her GO!" Yes, my 4 year old self was scolding Captain Hook. I'm told the audience laugh as my mother scooped me and took me back to myself, while explaining to me it wasn't real. XD

The sequel to this movie was probably one of the better ones made (and one of the few sequels to be released in theaters.) I liked Wendy's daughter Jane, since I myself am from a military family and I can relate how hard it is to have your father away for a long time.

Although, I think many will notice how the Native tribe was not in the sequel...*recalls Why is the Red man Red? song?* Yeah...there is no way that would be accppeted today. ^_^;
