My Plans for Wedding Favors

For my wedding, I've been thinking that I didn't want to do wedding favors. Everyone I know who has been to a wedding just tucks them into a junk door until four months later when they decide to throw them out. It just seems to be a waste of money to me.
However, then one of my mom's friend told her that her daughter felt the same way when she got married. So, instead of wedding favors, she used the money and donated to the heart and stroke foundation and just left a card at each spot on the table explaining that.
I think that's such a great idea. Since Stu and I, and just about everyone in our families are such big animal lovers, we decided we'll use the money we would have spent on wedding favors and instead donate it to the SPCA.
We also still have an unopened box of milkbones that Abby had gotten for Christmas. So, I thought I would tie a bone to each card, and that will be Abby's contribution to the wedding. (And I'm sure the families dogs, Parker, Willie, Pete and Jasper will be more than happy to help out by eating them for the guests. XD)
