I've done the first of my exams and now I have four more to go. I'm pretty sure I did enough to pass the class, but I'm just glad I don't have to deal with the professor anymore. She was nice, but she really annoyed me at times.

I am trying to get some writing done. I know it's been ages since I've worked on "Wild Hearts" but I've been trying to finish the rough draft of my short "Zel Wedding Fic". Some of you may remember when I did a little preview of that. I'm almost done it, but I want to go back and rewrite some of the scenes, since I ended up changing the plot half way through.

Plus, I have idea for another Slayers Fairytale Parody in which Lina and Gourry from my "Red Riding Hood" are going to meet up with Zel and Amelia from my "Sleeping Beauty" story. It's going to be a parody of "Jack and the Beanstalk" and no I'm not going to say who the giant will be. ^_~ Hopefully, I can write it sometime during the holiday break.

Also, I've created my own meme. I had a lot of fun with this! LOL

10 Things I would pay to see

1. Hilary Duff playing a villan- I'm not really a Hilary fan, but I just think it would be funny to see her playing a villan's/mean girl role instead of the nice girl role for once.

2. Zelgadis both singing and playing his guitar at the same time.

3. A one on one duel between Kratos and Gourry- I would really like to see who would win.

4. A Muppets version of the Slayers series- Come on! You know it would be funny and insane. ^_~

5. A movie based on "Maire the Magician"- it's a great book and I would love to see it made into a movie.

6. Somebody being able to scare Azula

7. A Disney movie in which a wolf is the main character.

8. Disney making a traditonal animated movie- It's been too LONG since they made one.

9. Kagome putting a leash on Inu-yasha.

10. Anlise convinces Renge to dress as an elf for Christmas- If anybody can convince her, it's Anlise.

I would pay a lot to see a new traditional animated film by Disney. I have watched a few this past week, and listened to soundtracks for others, and I really do miss them. I'll probably see their new computer animated movie this next year, but I'll be crying on the inside.

I will too, but there is hope. I have heard that Disney is making a movie based on Rapunzel (in other words, they're going back to the Fairy Tale plot movies). I've heard it's going to be made in a style that will make look like it's an oil painting. An example here (http://davidgilson.free.fr/petitpoulet/Rapunzel_Unbraided_Disney.jpg)

It's not exactly traditonal animation, but hopefully this will get Disney back on track. (crosses fingers)

Muppets slayers? I think they did this weird spoof in japan for the lastest movie where sleyers ufo type dolls were talking. It was bizarre.

Din't they do a movie about a wolf in disney? Balto? Or was he a dog? I actually never saw that one. But i'd love to see that too! A good wolf ^^ Kinda like the tiger in Ice age I guess (I loved diego!)

Disney don't make anymore trad movies: They fired all of their staff a few years ago. They use studios in china and japan to make "second movies" (cinderella 2 for instance) but when it comes to mainsteam film, I doubt we'll see anything anytime soon. Not until they change the head of disney for someone who wants to pay more to make trad films again. Trad films are expensive. Hence why they dropped it. It's still sad. At least their 3d doesn't suck.

Renge the elf? Humm?

Balto wasn't a Disney film, but done by Amblimation (Steven Spielberg's company that's now known as Dreamworks). He's supposed to be a half-breed in the movie, but as my brother put it, he was too much of a wimp to be a wolf. ^_-;

Disney didn't fire all of their animation staff (sadly, they are still using some of their best artists to make the Disney animated movie spin-offs), but they did close all of their overseas animation studios. Oh, and Disney did give Eisner the boot (he was the one who decided traditionally animated movies were obsolete), so I'm still hoping they'll go back to making movies the way they used to. I'm keeping up to date with my sister's art teachers at DigiPen because many of them are displaced Disney artists. (You can bet they were very upset to lose their jobs.)

I just read up on that over at www.wikipedia.com, and it sounds pretty cool. I did like Chicken Little since they took 3-D but applied 2-D applications to it (such as literally drawing on the computer screen to distort a character's appearance to make them move and such), but the whole concept of taking 3-D and making it look like an oil painting sounds really cool.

Let us all thank John Lasseter, who happened to bring about the demise of 2-D animation by taking a chance with computers, but who also appreciates the best of the best from days gone by. (I mean, look at the theme in all of his movies.) Sounds like he's doing a fair job of getting Disney back on track.

(slaps forehead) I forgot about Balto! (which is ironic because it's one of my favorite movies) but as Ichiban said, it's not Disney. However, it is a great movie and it's based on a true story. I highly recommend it.

But Disney can scare me at times. Did you know they're making a Cinderella 3?! @_@

Renge the elf? I did think of her dress as Santa but I figured that Anlise would want that job. ^_~

[livejournal.com profile] fani just told me that Disney IS making a traditional animated movie.
The Frog Princess (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Frog_Princess_(film))

It looks like they are trying to bring back the old spark from the Disney movies. This makes me VERY hopeful. ^_^
