Something that's been on my brain for awhile that won't leave.

Whenever I see someone defending a show that's made with younger kids in mind, but is generally disliked by the older crowd (ex: Caillou, Barney, Teen Titans Go, Thundercats Roar) you always see someone in reply/comments responding with "Well, I watched it with an actual child and they hated it". This is clearly suppose to be a gotcha but it's weird when you stop and think about it.

This one single child doesn't like it, therefore it is indeed a bad kids show. When I worked in a daycare I knew a kid that was terrified of Elmo so by the logic Sesame Street is a terrible children's show.

Anything that's made are going to have people that like it and people that for whatever reason don't. I'm willing to bet there are kids that just don't care for Bluey, despite all the praise it gets. I was a kid that actually liked Barney (which I felt the need to hide due to all the hate I kept seeing people had for it which is another topic entirely). I also didn't care much for Ren and Stimpy and that's suppose to be a cartoon classic. People of any age are allowed to both like and dislike things. If there is something you just don't like why would you waste your energy on hating it instead of finding something you do enjoy.

In my opinion, life is too short for stuff like that.
