TotA follow up drabble

Title: Hide and Seek Punishment
Series: Tales of the Abyss

*Bang! Bang!*
“Tear, let me out of here!”
Guy blinked confused as he entered the room along with Jade. He wasn’t sure of what to make of the scene before him. Luke appeared to be trapped in the closet with a chair propped up underneath the knob to make it impossible to open.
Tear was calmly sitting in a chair reading a book with a baffled Mieu in her lap. Anise was giggling non-stop, while Natalia was shaking her head like a parent who had scolded a mischievous child.
Guy felt hesitant to ask. “Um...what’s going on?”
“Master’s playing hide and seek!” Mieu explained.
“What?”
Natalia sighed. “Luke locked Mieu into a crate and Tear is teaching him a lesson by trapping him in the closet.”
“Ah...” Guy replied, nodded as he understood and pulled up a chair. “Although, isn’t this a bit harsh?”
Tear shut her book. “No, I think it’s a fitting punishment,” she stated in a firm tone.
“Oh come on!” Luke’s voice rang from within the closet. “It’s not that big of a deal!”
“You locked Mieu in a crate.”
Luke banged his hand against the door. “I was going to go back for him and I made sure he had air holes!”
“You still shouldn’t have done it,” Tear replied simply, returning to her book.
Anise continued giggling as she went to the closet door. “Luke, my offer still stands. I can come in there and keep you company.”
“Again, no, thank you,” Luke instantly replied. The redhead didn’t want to make his situation any worse. Who knows what would happen if he was locked in a small dark space with Anise. Luke shuddered.
Jade, who had remind silent, kept his cool composure and walked over to the female solider. “You know, Tear, I do not think this was the wisest of actions to take.”
“Thank you!” Luke cried, happy to have somebody on his side, even if it was Jade.
Jade folded his arms behind his back. “Eventually, Luke will run out of oxygen and suffocate.” He gave a tired sigh. “It will be such a hassle to get rid of his dead body...although, there are a couple of experiments I could use it for.”
“NOT FUNNY JADE!” Luke yelled, banging his hand for emphasis.
Jade smirked. “Oh, who said I was joking?”
Guy laughed. “Luke, just apologize to Mieu and I’m sure Tear will release you. Right, Tear?”
Tear folded her arms. “I would be willing to negotiate.”
Luke sighed. “Oh, fine,...Mieu, I’m sorry I locked you in the crate.”
“Um...that’s okay, Master,” Mieu replied, although he was rather confused of what his master was apologizing for.
Tear nodded, satisfied. “Luke I shall release you.”
“Finally...”
“But not for another ten minutes. I want to make sure you learned your lesson.”
The others chuckled in amusement, while Luke started to banged his head against the wall.
