It's easier to focus more on the local music than those of other countries, especially when it's in a different language. I rarely ever see CD from Germany, France, etc in stores. I think part of the reason for Alice in Wonderland, is that Alice, or at least her dress style is VERY popular in Japan. I remember reading an article that there's this whole fashion trend of girls dressing in Alice style dresses (kind of like how alot of teens will dress in Goth style here, etc...)
