Ah childhood

This happened recently in my store.

A mother and her daughter (who was about 7-8 years old) came in looking for long white gloves, because the girl was going to a teaparty.

Then the girl saw a unicorn pinata we had and fell in love with it. So, the mother said she could have it for her party.

Then I had the following conversation while the mother was paying for the pinata.

Me: He's a very cute unicorn.
Girl: It's a SHE!
Me: Oh, I see.
Girl: I'm going to name her Sarah
Me: (grins)

Then the mother asks me if she has to buy the candy at the store to fill the unicorn.

Girl:...But I don't want to break her.
Mother: Well then, she can just be a decoration.
Me: Exactly! (laughs)

It was so cute! What really amuses me is that, the girl is a lot how I was when I was that age. Ah, memories. XD

It makes you long for a daughter, doesn't it? I think I'm starting to hear my biological clock start to shift into gear at times when I see adorable children like that. I would love to have a little dress-up party for a little girl with a unicorn pinata. She reminds me a lot of myself at that age too.

Sounds exactly like the type of conversation my daughter would have had when she was that age. Heck, she still was like that with pinatas when she was a teenager! [Looks over her shoulder to make sure said daughter isn't around]

LOL It does, although I don't think I'm ready for kids just yet. Someday though, I hope I get a little girl to have tea parties with. XD

LOL I still like to buy plushies/stuff like that and I'm 24. Heck, I still like to give them names sometimes. Last year for Christmas, my boyfriend gave me a wolf plushie that had "Waterloo University" written on it. So, I like to call him Lou. XD
