I got back from Waterloo yesterday, all in all, it was a fun visit and I got to spend quality time with [livejournal.com profile] gullwhacker.

I found a neat shop there that sold a BIG varity of posters and prints, including a big collection of Disney prints. I had wished that [livejournal.com profile] ichiban_victory [livejournal.com profile] secondlina and [livejournal.com profile] dqbunny were with me, because I know you guys would have been exploring the Disney Prints alot too. I had a hard time deciding which ones to buy, but in the end I got a "Chesire Cat" and a "Lady and the Tramp" one to hang in my room and a Aladdin one for [livejournal.com profile] gullwhacker.

Also, I've been thinking about making a new layout for my LJ. I've been mainly toying with the idea of using some of the Slayers Revolution images. Then again, I could do something with Disney, or something entirely different. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any.

My Alice Amelia doujin is coming along slowly. It's acutally turning out a lot better than I thought it would. I'm still in the rough draft stage, but I may post a sample of it later. What I will probably do once I'm done with the drafts is use my lightbox and transfer it to some good ink paper I have so I can then ink it. That way it will look less messy and I don't have to worry about my pencil marks showing.

I also found an old computer game I haven't played for YEARS because I was telling [livejournal.com profile] gullwhacker about it and I wanted to show him. It was made back in the day when computer games were made to play BOTH on windows and a MAC and not seperate games like today.

Anyway, it's a game you may want to see sometime [livejournal.com profile] secondlina It's called "Disney's Villains Revenge" Basically the player is paired up with Jiminy Cricket and (for some reason) he thinks it's a good idea to tear out the happy endings from 4 Classic Disney stories in order to make news one for fun. (What the heck were you thinking Jim?)

Then, not surprisingly, this turns out to be a bad idea because it lets the villains escape and take over the stories. These villains were, The Wicked Queen from Snow White, the Ringmaster from Dumbo, Captain Hook and the Queen of Hearts. The Blue fairy then comes in to inform you that you and Jiminy have to go into the stories and restore the happy endings. It's clearly a game for kids, the tasks to fix the stories are fairly simple, but I loved it and played it a million times when I was younger. Plus, I always thought the concept was fun. (I think I bought it when I was about 12-14. I really didn't care much that it was targeted at kids. ^_^;)

Mind you, this game was clearly made before the whole "Disney Princess" francize, since it uses characters that don't get as much notice now like Alice and Dumbo.

EDIT: I forget to metion. After seraching on Wiki, I found out that Alice's original voice actor from her moive did Alice's voice again for the video game. I only just learned this, but I just think it's neat that after a few decades this woman gets to play an old classic role again. XD

*squish* I'm so glad that you're back and that you had a good time with Gull!!

The Disney game sounds fantastic. I've been playing an old one from my childhood as well, Ultima: The Quest for the Avatar. I got a NES simulator to play it again, and it's been absolutely fantastic.

I'm also thinking of doing a new LJ layout based around Revolution. Such a lovely selection of images to play with, and that's just from the first episode!

It's funny how much fun revisiting old games can be. It really was a neat idea. I kind of wish they made the game longer and use a couple of more villains like Cruella and such.

The animation is just so pretty and nevermind the AMV potential with the new series. I may wait for a couple of more episodes to air so I have more images to play around with. ^_~

Glad you're back! It's great that you had such a good time. I admit, it has been a long time since I've been truly into anything Disney. Someday, though, I figure I'll have kids and that will bring Disney back into my life....

Now, back to gleefully rubbing my hands in anticipation of the next episode of Revolution.

(laughs) Kids are usually a good way to re-introduce something in your life. I remember when I let my little cousin play with my old toys that I hadn't touched in years. I brought back good memories. ^_^

Oooh, I wonder if it's the print shop I visited myself in toronto XD

I'd like a cheshire cat myself. I'll go get one next time i'm in the toronto area.

That game sounds like a ton of fun. It reminds me, I want to find all the king Quests to play them... Old games... Mwahhaa

Oh my gosh, the King's Quest games! I never heard of that Disney game, but I played quite a few King's Quest games. I miss those old adventure games. (The genre is seeing new life on the Nintendo DS, at least.) Perils of Rosella is still my personal favorite. Cleaning the seven dwarves house was the best music ever!

The only Disney game I ever played on a 'PC' (really our Amiga, in the days before Apple and Windows) was a Ducktales game that was excellent fun. You do not know mayhem until you have to fly and land a plane the way Launchpad McQuack would! ^_-

Actually the shop was in Waterloo, in the mall to be exact. Mind you, it's only about an hour and a half drive from Toronto. However, worse case scenerio I can always pick you up one next time I'm there. They were only $10 each.

It's a simple game, but the concept is fun. I've must have played it like a million times when I was younger right next to play the "Carmen Sandiago" games. The King Quests games sounds like fun.

I'll have to keep an eye out for the King's Quest games, they sound amusing. The only other Disney game I've played was 101 Dalmations game they made, which was fairly decent. Mind you, I still perfer the Disney's Villains.

Just wanted to say
