Slayers Revolution Episode 7

I had thought episode 7 was just filler, but I'm glad to see that I was wrong.

hange of clothing: First of all, it's nice to see the gang in different outfits (gives us fanarts more things to play with) although, they really do stand out in their modern clothes when everybody else is wearing Victorian clothing. Also, it was cute to see both Lina and Gourry have their hair in braids. Also, I know the Gourry fan service made his fans happy *looks to dqbunny *

Oh the mooching
Poor Amelia, looks like Lina's habit from Next of Sailrune picking up the tab hasn't changed and it looks like Zel is also picking up this habit. Then again, maybe it's coming out of his bodyguard benefits. But man, that guy must be strong to give Zel a massage. I did like how the crew was polite

"See Zel, you don't have to be so paranoid"

*large piles of weapons attack*

Pokota and Lina
They've really gotten a bit of a friendlier relationship this episode. I can see them having a brother and sister relationship. Getting along and then a sec later, they try to kill each other.

Zumma
Yes! He's finally arrived. They got a great voice actor for him. Gourry, you got many cool points for blocking him from attacking Lina. I'm looking forward to many more battles between those two. Now, if only he could get the blast blade...

Overall, a good episode. The L/G hints were nice and subtle like Lina looking really worried for Gourry and then smiling at him afterward when he's just grumbling to himself.

One thing I've notice, Zel seems to be a bit more at ease this season. Mind you, he is more aggressive like when he was going to burn down the forest, electrocuting the passengers, but he appear to be as grumbling/gloomy as much as he used to. What do you guys think?

If Zelgadis is still sticking to the charge to protect Amelia, that would have to be his main focus at the moment. Seeing how she's not one to usually charge off alone into danger (unlike Lina, who seems to attract it everywhere she steps), he's in for a pretty easy ride. I don't blame him for enjoying it for all it's worth.

I ought to start keeping track of whether or not he's with Amelia most every time she's around. He seemed to disappear when she went off with Pocota to trash Lina's tank, yet it was shown that he had to have been close by the whole time since he was there after the dust had settled.

I do find it a bit interesting that he's not actively jumped in front of her as of yet, ala Gourry's mode of protecting Lina. So far he's scolded Amelia to focus in combat, let Pocota move in to deflect Lina's attack, and again didn't even move when that giant spiked ball rolled toward the two. I found it a bit amusing that Amelia was quick to dodge the thing. It's almost like his protecting her is somewhat superficial, but he's there to pick up the slack when she falters.

Yep, he's definitely in for an easy ride at the moment... That'll have to change if Amelia's role in aiding Lina against Zuuma in the novels holds true for Revolution.

I'm not sure I liked the strange sounds Zel does when he's given a massage *shivers* (Amelia, we know you are strong, couldn't you volunteer? Way to miss your chances XDD And you could have spared some money.)

I like the way Z&A are interacting in this season, they really seem like old companions.
On the negative side, I'm starting to get convinced we won't get one single romantic scene between the two -__-

I like Zuuma. I'll like him more when I'll understand what he says -___- *grumbles because of the fansub problem*

We're still early in the series, so I would imagine there's going to be some tough battles coming for them, especially with Zumma. That said, Zel is probably going to have to start working for his money soon. It will be interesting to see.

Truthfully, I was a little creeped out by that too. *also shivers*

I love how relaxed they are, mind you we still got quite of bit of story left so let's not lose hope for the romantic scene just yet. Worse case scenerio, we could just write our own. ^_~
