Slayers survival kit

Last night, dqbunny and I discussed on making a Slayers survival kit since next week will be the last episode for a few months and we need something to keep us busy while we wait.

Working on a fanfic will be one of mine, but I also been wanting to make a Slayers Revolution Anthology AMV. Basically, taking various music clips and combining them with the highlight moments of the season. It would be a mix of silly, serious and crazy (very crazy) moments. You've all been warned. ^_~ I just hope I don't make it too long.

Also, after seeing dqbunny post on writing essays it got me thinking that I wouldn't mind writing, at least, mini one on Wizer's character. I honestly never thought that I would enjoy him as much as I do when the season first started. I'm toying of going with the argument of why he seems more likable then some of the previous side characters like Martina for example or something along those lines. If anyone has got any better ideas for a Wizer essay, I'm open to hear any.

I've really liked Wizer, too. He is pretty similar to Xellos in that he'll manipulate a situation to his advantage, but his advantage is to fight for the greater good, not evil.

Oh, that's a good topic too. You can even compare Duclis novel version to his anime version.

Wizer is almost like what Xellos would be if Xellos was fighting for the greater good. I think he's one of the more interesting side characters to come out of the anime.

I'll pass on some of the essay ideas to you. We can definitely work on it together! We can sit down and discuss which ones we want to take, or even do two views on the same topic. Definitely Wizer would make a very good topic. Maybe why Wizer has been the most (or least) successful of the sidekicks to date?

That's a good idea, I did like some of the topics you posted. The idea of doing two views on the same topic would be fun. We'll have to sit down and brainstorm a bit. ^_~

*nods* That's probably the best topic to use for Wizer. It would make it easier to compare him to past sidekicks.

I liked Wizer a lot too, and I hope he doesn't leave us so soon (but I think he will: he has a job as seducer of housewives in Ruvinagaard...)

I don't like thinking about the wait, to be honest... but you're right, we'll need something to keep us busy while we wait. I can't wait to see the AMV.

Maybe there should be contests and such? To keep us from going completely crazy.

I ended up writing essays to myself about some characters, actually. I've noticed a lot of things the fifth or sixth time through watching an episode that are really interesting.

How about an essay about whether Wizer personifies the concept of doing evil so good may come of it? For example, accusing Lina because he knows it's the best, and cheapest, way to get her to commit to his mission... ^_^
