Since I have a final exam this weeks, and a bunch of assignments due, I'm making my mother come with me to see Bolt Saturday to treat myself. XD Actually, my mom doesn't mind since she wants to see it too. Can't wait. *grins*

In regards to NaNo, I already know I'm not going to make the challenge. I'm just too busy with school work right now. Next year, I'll probably try again and get a better jump start on it. However, even when this year NaNo is done, I'm still working on the novel. I like the characters so far and I really want to finish it, even if it takes me a few months to do it.

In other news, I found out something...surprising the other day. Tim Burton is making a new movie. A live action/CG version of Alice in Wonderland. The story is rather farout as it is, so I'm wondering what old Burton is planning to do with it. However, that's not all. Johnny Depp is playing the Mad Hatter.

For those wondering what he looks like as such: Take a look at this

I think Bri-chan's drawing of it says it best.

I'll save my final opinion until I see trailer/actual movie, but...I don't think it's going to be as goofy as the Disney version. ^_^;

Let me know how Bolt is. It looks adorable.

Haha. Yes. I'm also seeing the pre-release images and echoing Bri-chan's thoughts. I was going to link that deviation for you until I saw you already had. (I'm so addicted to her interpretation of M.H. now.)

I will, and I've heard good reviews on it already.

(I love her version of the Mad Hatter too. It's become one of my favorite Disney pairings now. XD)

... I really have the urge to try to dig up that Alice game from a while ago...

Why is Johnny Depp in all of Tim Burton's movies?!

I wonder how many people can come to that conclusion before it turns out to be something like that.

Maybe, Burton figures with both of their names in the credits they'll make twice the money from their fangirls?

As much as I love Tim Burton and Alice in wonderland and love the fact that Alan Rickman is the caterpillar (That must be a sight to see) i'm a little worried about this movie. It's most likely going to be vintage burton, which is awesome, but now, every existing future Alice ANYTHING is going to get compared to the Tim burton one. This is bad for people like me who want to do their own Alice related story. And it doesn't matter if the movie is good or bad. It's tim burton, therefore die-hard burtonians will be "you copied burton STFU!" forever now.

Meh, I still want to see it.

But, oh jonnhy, why are thou a hooker now?

Hmm, maybe not. I think Alice might be one of those stories that will always get new versions of it though, like Fairy tales, the Wizard of OZ, Peter Pan etc.

This is probably one of the first movie versions in awhile (since Disney anyway), but there are always cartoons/tv shows parodying it. Sesame Street did their own version awhile ago. Plus, there was that dark Alice in Wonderland computer game a few years ago too.

Ironically, there's probably going to be some people comparing it to Disney's Alice, since a lot of people are probably more familiar with that if they haven't read the original story. I'm curious on what the reaction will be.

I do wonder why Johnny always seems to be in Burton's movies? @_@ His Mad Hatter version is creepy. I like him better as Jack. XD

Ahah! I found my book *Never actually got around to reading Alice in Wonderland*

The game was fun, though I do remember it being very creepy, and I think I ended up crying once or twice (it was also very sad).

I know I mentioned this to someone a few months ago, but yeah, Tim Burton's making Alice in Wonderland and Johnny Depp's in it. I'll most likely ignore it though since the original story freaked me out, and Tim Burton's works tend to as well. (Nightmare Before Christmas and Frankenweenie were pretty good, but some of his stuff....I don't think I'll ever recover from seeing Vincent as a kid!)

Anyway, you see Johnny Depp in a lot of Tim Burton's films because the two are friends.

Child raised by Sweeney Todd & Cap'n Jack Sparrow? Along with Uncle Willie Wonka?

Burton probably likes Johnny Depp because he portrays psychologically impaired folks so well. You want creatively whacko and good looking? Ok, hire Johnny Depp.

I love Tim Burton and adore Johnny Depp..but WHY does every Burton movie have Depp in it? And Burton's wife?
One day Tim Burton will find on tabloids that his wife is cheating him with Johnny Depp and he will only have himself to blame XD
Or maybe they are already in a menage à trois (with Burton in the middle)and we don't know XD

Jokes aside, I hope that Alice will still be the main char of this movie and they won't transform it into "the madhatter and his twisted relashionship with a blonde girl"
