Day #19: Your least favorite Pixar film

There isn't really a Pixar film I don't like, but I know exactly which is my least favorite.

A bug's Life

A Bug's Life is not a big movie, but when compared to other Pixar films, I would say it's the least interesting. Granted part of my reasoning for not liking it could be due to the fact that I don't like bugs/insects as much. Although, there are a lot of good characters in this, especially for the circus bugs.

I think Pixar's worst film is Cars, but then, saying "Pixar's Worst Film" is like saying "Michaelangelo's Worst Sculpture" - it may not be as good as the others, but it's still pretty damned awesome.

Truthfully, Cars would have the second one for least favorite after a Bug's Life, I was debating between the two, but neither are not a bad movie. When you compare the two to say Up or Wall- It's like comparing a bowl of soup to a turkey dinner. Both are good, but one will just fill you up more than the other.

Nothing's wrong with it, it's just not as good as the others. That was kind of my point... saying 'Pixar's Worst Movie' is the exact opposite of damning with faint praise. Praising with faint damn, maybe?

Personally I can't imagine a 'Pixar's Worst Movie' to begin with. 8D;

I don't like bugs or insects, either, especially ants, ugh. I really hate ants. But Pixar made the characters so awesome and cute, I can't help but find them lovable. I love Dot. <3

Honestly, I think MY least favorite Pixar film is...shockingly enough, Wall-E. I wasn't that interested in the romance between two artificial beings. X|

Dot is adorable. They do a good job in making the ants cute in the film and I adore the circus bugs especially the stick bug.

Hey don't feel bad. I don't like Pinocchio, and that's suppose to be one of the greatest Disney classics. XD

Yeah, Slim is win. =P

I guess I was too bothered that EVERYBODY made such a huge deal about Wall-E being the cutest Pixar movie ever or something. XD I thought kids would be bored by the romance stuffs.

Oh? Why don't you like Pinnochio, if I may ask? D:

....oh, THAT scene. I agree with you there, I found it absolutely terrifying as a child. o____o

Don't worry, Wall*E's not a favorite for me, either. I love the message the movie had (we need to take care of the earth), but the romance between the robots wasn't why I watched the movie. Wall*E's kind of like that creepy anti-social guy in a way...

LOL. I think you just nailed why the "romance" in Wall-E didn't thrill me, either. I was never able to put my finger on it until now.

I hadn't realized it until I was responding just a bit ago, but it's true. Then again, it's not his fault he was left alone for a long time. Good thing he didn't go crazy. (I'm thinking of the ship computer from the sci-fi series, Red Dwarf. Good times!) I do enjoy the movie, but I find the human characters more interesting. Especially the captain.

Oh, I definitely love the ecological message of the film. I just didn't focus on the romance part at all. XD

One line I especially find memorable...

'I don't wanna survive. I wanna live!'

Seeing that image made me remember how back in the day people who bought iMacs got a free DVD copy of A Bug's Life, so we had it for free for a long time. And I'm not sure where that DVD got off to... It's definitely not a bad movie by any means, just not as enjoyable as many. But, movies like this make me appreciate John Lasseter all the more since he knew it's important to have diversity in directors at Pixar so that the movies don't get stale, and so far I think they're succeeding in that.

Aww, I hate seeing Bug's Life in the least favorite lists. I always thought it was one of Pixar's better films. :(

Everyone says that Pixar never made a bad film, but I think Cars dances right on the line between "Mediocre" and "Bad". I could never sit through Cars again because the story and characters were terribly generic (big town jerk gets humbled by small town country folks) and none of the jokes were funny.
Yeah, I know Cars looked good and all. But if I want to see realistic car races, I'll just watch NASCAR or go to an auto show.

I was debating to list Bug's Life or Cars, for this choice. The reason cars is so popular is because they're easy to make toys out of and will sell for a lot of little kids.

I just choose Bug's Life because I'm not a huge bug person, but I can see why other people would love this movie person. ^_~
