Slayers Abridged Review Episode 6

It's that time again, and I finally got my VLC player to take screenshots again.





The episode starts with a dark and stormy night. No hinting or foreshadowing to the plot here...



A father and son team annoy Lina.



Ozel feels the need to again show off her ninja skills. I wonder if all maids get ninja training?



We get further proof that Lina, Gourry and Pokota all share the same eating habits.



We see Amelia in bondage which makes the Amelia fangirls groan but the Amelia fanboyss go "yay!"



Zelgadis FINALLY gets a one on one fight with a villain.



Lina's annoyed because the villains are ignoring her. How dare they!



And the episode ends with some, what could be read as, some Ozel/Abel hinting. Who knew?

I have to say, I am SO glad I got to read the novels before seeing this arc animated! It helps make so much more sense of Abel's actions. Remember: we're supposed to like him when this is all over! ^_-

I hope we find out more about Ozel soon. She really does seem a kind soul stuck doing the dirty work. ...maybe that's why she's dressed like a maid... XP

I'm currently re-reading the novel so everything is fresh in my head for comparison. All of Abel's actions do make sense once you know the reason behind it.

I want to learn more about Ozel. She does seem to care about people and she has said that she's sorry but it's part of her contract. Here's hoping the next episode has more background story on her. ^_~

I did! Not really, but after seeing them in the rain at the beginning, I got this idea that they might be an interesting crack pairing... but now I think it's actually REALLY cute! O_o

I don't know how to put this in a nice, PG way, so I'll just come right out and say it.

The manga made it perfectly (and unfortunately) clear that she is not as a normal woman under her skirt. That would be a difficult obstacle for that particular pairing...

There's always the possibility that she was once human and will get her human body back!

(Besides, I still mostly think of it as a crack pairing, even if it IS cute).

Like the hand puppet who was somehow married to the uncle on Meet the Robinsons.

Oh, that upskirt shot, yeah...^^;; However, I didn't think she was naked under her dress--doesn't she wear bloomers?

I looked up the picture again. There isn't anything obvious that looks like bloomers, so they are skin-tight if they're there. Plus, in the anime they show just a little bit of her knee when she lands and its colored with a flesh tone.

Ah...I just checked episode 10, which was where I thought I saw bloomers, but you're right. ._.

...That makes it kind of worse, because I can't even pretend anymore.
