Muppet Sherlock Holmes

For those who don't know, Boom Comics have been releasing a Muppet Fairy Tales series in which the muppets retells famous stories in their own muppet fashion.

They just finished doing Snow White, which was probably one of the best ones done so far. However, next month they're going to be doing Sherlock Holmes with Gonzo playing Sherlock. XD Is it wrong for me to think that's just perfect?

With the muppet fairy tales, the Darkwing Duck comics and getting the paperback issue of Sky Doll, I've been becoming much more of a comic reader lately. ^_^

I missed Muppet Snow White, but I did snag Muppet Peter Pan. I love Amy Mebberson's work. I'm continuously astounded at her attention to detail when rendering the Muppets. Being conscious of exactly how Jim Henson's hand would affect the shadows and lines of Kermit's face for a variety of expressions like that really speaks of a dedicated fan! Plus I love the little details she puts in her frames. :D

I highly recommend getting the paperback version of Muppet Snow White, if you can (I really should have waited for that, but I couldn't resist). It's hilarious and cute and the writers did a great job writing the muppets. There are so many references to not only the muppet show, but to the movies as well. (There are cameos from some oneshot muppets from Treasure Island. They even have Uncle Deadly in it as one of the side characters) It's a must read for any muppet fan. The art is well done, not as great as Amy's, but it's close in my opinion.

I love Amy's art style, she captures the muppet's expressions perfectly. I loved the covered art she did with TinkerPink. I can't wait to read the Sherlock Holmes one.
