Cosplay Decision

This year, in July, since we're going to spend the night and stay for two days for AnimeMaritime I decided to cosplay this.

I had originally thought of going as Ryoko from Ookami-san, but that was before Stu and I started to watch Star Driver. So, now I'm thinking about making one of the girl uniforms which wouldn't be too hard to make since I would mainly have to make the jacket. (It's the green on in the picture.)



I may end up changing my mind again, but Stu is also considering making a male school uniform or at least making one of the Glittering Star masks. XD

Also, for those interested, I still have two slots opened in my craft meme if anyone wants to request anything. ^_~

If you are going to be making the skirt, I would recommend going with buying it: http://www.cookieskids.com/Product.aspx?l=00200070004401550023&p=BJS01252&a=googleps&mr:trackingCode=6F24AF77-E381-DE11-9973-0019B9C2BEFD&mr:referralID=NA It is in "kids" sizes, but it's the perfect skirt! Pleated skirts are a bitch to sew and for only around $20.00... I am willing to take a gamble to buy it for Mizuno's. I can't wait to see your version of Wako. I will be most likely making karrissarella's Wako's costume for when she has time to do her.

I'm making the school uniform, but I haven't decided if I want to go as Wako (although it's tempting) or go as Sarina. The reason is because Sarina has long brown hair like me and thus would save me from wearing a wig. Granted, Wako is tempting... I'll just have to see if I can find a good wig for wako or not.

Although, I am giving Stu a plushie Vice I made for his Valentine's gift. I figured I could just add him to my costume ^_~

Awesome! Too bad we weren't going to the same con. XD It would be awesome to have a group cosplay.

Vice isn't hard. I used this pattern for a scotty dog as a base and just altered it to make it look more like vice: Pattern (http://mysofttoyscorner.blogspot.com/2010/02/softie-scotty-dog.html)

I know, we're still trying to find someone to be our Takuto and Sugata... so hopefully once more realize how awesome this series is. But I wish we did go to some of the same cons at least =) That would be cool.

Best part about that outfit: It's not that crazy or elaborate and it looks like "normal" clothing. So you won't be constantly blitzed by cameras!
My sister dressed up as Rose from Doctor Who mainly because only Who fans would notice her and bug her for photos. ^_^
