At comic con, a trailer of Legend of Korra was released. ^_^

I can't wait, after the failure of Night's Last Airbender, we need something epic to look forward to.

Dog makes more sense if it's from the Southern Pole. On my tiny screen the hind legs looked more equine. I LOVE IT MORE NOW THAT IT IS A DOG.

I hope my sister made to the Korra panel and can fill me in on any new tidbits (she went to SDCC this year). And I hope she got me that poster, too!
And I'm in awe of the fact that the audience stayed dead silent until the trailer ended. I was at the SDCC panel back when the trailer for season 3 premiered and those fans screamed so loud it made my head throb! I guess this one stunned them into silence. XD


Whoa! There were some dudes wearing Prohibition-era gangster suits around 1:10 in the video! I'd never expect to see duds like THAT in an Avatar cartoon. O_o

The extremely modern looking cities are what shocked me the most (two of them were clearly based on New York and San Francisco). Quite a big contrast to the mostly feudal villages we saw in the original show.

And I wonder if the Sky Bison in the trailer is Appa (perhaps seen in a flashback?) or if Appa's species somehow managed to make a comeback.

According to the Avatar community, a few things have been confirmed.

1. Aang found a herd of sky bison after the war, and while they don't look exactly like Appa, they are still around.
2. They music they create will hopefully sound like Jazz as if they were created in Asia.
3. Toph's daughter is CHIEF OF POLICE! (How awesome is that?)
4. The city the show is in was founded by Aang and Zuko
5. Korra's polar bear dog is female and named NAGA! (I can't help but picture future Avatar fans googling to find pictures of the animal or to stumble across Naga from Slayers. OHOHOHOHOHOHOH! XD)

My sister confirmed that she did make it to the Korra panel and filled me in on all this goodness this morning!

She also said that people started shouting "Who's the Baby-Daddy!?" when it was announced that Toph's daughter would be an important character in the show. XD

I posted a link to the trailer on the Nickelodeon site, but I like that you found a larger version to share! My google-fu failen me this time.

I'm very excited about the start of this series and I'm glad we were able to find out more about it, like more info on Tenzen and the fact that he has siblings and children of his own (and what he looks like even).

It's totally badass that Toph's daughter would be chief of police. Badassness is inherited obviously!

I wanna know more about the bending brothers! I mean, who's family are they from? Sokka's? Hmmm...

There's a fan theory that Korra is related to Sokka, which would be rather fitting and it would be his luck that his grand daughter would be the next Avatar. (Some evidence to this is that we strangely haven't heard a lot about Sokka yet. XP)
