Which Cosplay

I know I've mention this before and I know it's kind of early to think of cosplay for Anime Maritime 2012, but hey I like being organized. Plus, it's easier to find things when I'm not crunch for time.

I'm currently torn between three cosplays.

First is human Zelgadis from Evolution-R: the problem with this is that this would be the most expensive and time consuming (money for wig, cloth for cape, ect). On the other hand, it would be fun going as my favorite Slayers character. If I don't do Zel this year, I'll probably do it next year when I don't have a wedding hanging over my head too.

Second, normal Applejack. This would bet the cheapest as easiest since I already have a cowboy hat and the most expensive thing I would buy is a good blond wig. Granted, I did go as normal Fluttershy last year. Of course, I wouldn't have to change out of custom when I went out to eat with friends during the con. XP

Third, I just thought of this, galloping gala Applejack. This would be a bit more difficult than normal Applejack, but still easier than Zel. Also, I can probably find either a dress, or a green shirt and skirt to pull this off. I haven't seen any photos of a galloping gala Applejack cosplay, so it would be fun to be something different.

Anyway, I wouldn't mind opinions from you guys. What do you think?

*giggles* Looks to be a 3-way tie so far. Because of the wedding. I think one of the Applejacks. The one thing to consider though in Zel's favor is how likely are you to be having a little extra in your stomach in 2013, hint hint?

Ah, point. I am thinking more 2014 for any babies, but it's hard to tell right now until Stu and I are able to afford our own house.

I can tell you for a fact that my human Zelgadis costume didn't cost that much to make! Keep an eye out for coupons, and you can really get some good deals. For the wig, ALWAYS check eBay! I love my Zelgadis wig, and it required minimal styling. Though I recently (as in, a couple of hours ago) added a whole other wig to it for volume since my group is shooting for big 90s hair at the upcoming con this weekend. But you obviously wouldn't have to do that, especially if you don't have a big head.

Thanks, you have a really good human Zel cosplay. I might poke you later for some tips.

I figured I can get an oversize shirt and pants at a used clothing store, and I've seen good wigs on Ebay. The hardest part would be making the cape and adding the details to it.

I want to vote for Gala-Applejack mainly because I'd just like to see how you interpret that dress in human form.

However, if you have the time and the extra cash, Human-Zel would be cool because at least you'll know it'll be unique (Pony cosplay is EVERYWHERE right now).

The worst case is that I just don't do Zel until 2013, after Applejack there's really not another pony I want to cosplay as much, (Plus, it's fun for a change anyway). I figured I can at least guess gather stuff for both costumes as I happen to come across them.

I'm slowly considering doing both normal and gala Applejack since I recently found out on the AnimeMaritime forum that something is attempting to make a Pony group and possibly a skit. I never have done a group cosplay before so that would be really fun.
