Happy Easter!
Apr. 8th, 2012 10:29 amHappy Easter Everyone!
Man, does anyone else remember this old special? I use to watch it a million times as a kid.
My main plan today is to have a turkey dinner with my family, which is always fun. I was telling
savvyliterate about this awesome square recipe which sounds strange, but it tastes REALLY good. Basically, it's melted chocolate and potato chips. Sounds like an odd combination I know, but they're yummy and easy.
Ingredients
1 bag of ruffle potato chips
1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 bag of peanut butter chips
1 bag of butterscotch chips
Directions:
Crush the ruffle potato chips into a bowl and then set aside for later. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and the butterscotch chips together. Once smooth, remove from stove and pour mixture into bowl with the crushed potato chips.
Mix the chocolate and chips together until the potato chips are completely covered. Pour the covered potato chips into a 9x13 pan and place the pan into the fridge. Once the pan has cooled and firm, cut the chocolate into squares.
I swear, these are like the best thing for any girl to eat during that time of the month. XD They're just do addicting. I was planning on trying to use this to make them into bird nests for Easter, but it didn't work, so I just made them into normal squares instead.
Also, in less then a week it's going to be my birthday. I don't have any major plans, but I am hoping to post the next chapter of my Slayers Gears story around then. I'm also done with the last couple of chapters of it if you can believe it.
And, I've been reading a lot more Detective Conan. I mostly blame the Kaitou Kid because I ended up reading the four volume manga Magic Kaito series and that has gotten me back into Conan. I have always liked Detective Conan, and I think a bit more know since I have come to enjoy murder mysteries, but THERE IS JUST SO MUCH TO READ. It would probably take me months to read the manga alone. (Although, got to admit I think the Kaitou Kid stories are probably my favorite)
Thankfully, there's a Conan wiki that has sorted the manga chapters and actually mark the ones with character and plot development. So, it makes it a bit easier on which chapters I don't have to bother with. I do wonder if the author ever does plan to end the series. I once heard back in high school that he had no idea how he was going to end the series, so I'm hoping that was just a rumour.
