I was just browsing through Tokyopop and look what I found.

They're making MANGA sequels/prequel to the fantasy movies made by the Jim Henson company like "Mirror Mask" and "Labyrinth". @_@
I didn't see Mirror Mask, but I'm curious about the sequel to Labyrinth. They say it's going be be about Toby (who's now 13) and him becoming the Goblin King's heir. It sounds odd, however, it would probably be a better step then making another film. At leasting in manga, you can create real good drawings. In movies you have to worry about bad acting, camera shots, etc..
It makes me wonder what else they might do?

Date: 2006-01-20 07:10 pm (UTC)They've already done this with the X-Men comic, so I'm glad they're creating mangas from other areas of American culture (from prior decades).
Maybe somebody will do a Neverending Story manga!

I would be so happy if they made a manga from The Last Unicorn, but that's not very likely to happen. ^_^;
