Writing!

I'm currently at my Aunt's house in Nova Socita. Last night we got to hear my cousin's high school band play. It was a big fund raising event for them and they mosty played jazz music. The music they play were incredible. I think it's so cool that my cousin can play such good music. I can barely play chopsticks on the piano. There was also a choir there and they sang songs from Disney's Tarzan (Yay!) and some of the really talented singers sang a few songs from the musical "Wicked". Now I want to get the soundtrack to that.

I did start writing another Slayers fic. I got inspire by my own fan fic challenge on ameliazellove I'm not entering the contest (because that would just be silly) but I couldn't resist when I finally got a plot bunny. It won't be a one-shot but it's not going to be a long story either. I can't see it being more then 3 chapters at the most.

I also took my own challenge at 21_hearts by claiming Zuko/Katara from "Avatar: the Last Airbender" but I'm doing something different. Instead of drabbles, I'm going to try to have it all fan art. The main reason is because, while I love Zuko/Katara it would be impossible to write fanfic and keep them in character. They are sort of like of Amelia and Zelgadis interacted in the first season of Slayers. They see each other but there isn't that much interaction between them (in fact most of the time Zuko/Katara are fighting each other. ^_^;).

Plus since Zuko is currently the guy who is chasing after Katara, Anag and Sakka, it would be difficult to keep it in the show's plot without making it an AU at this piont. However, with the second season of Avatar starting soon, I'm hoping there's going to be more interaction between Zuko and Katara that hints there might be something developing between them. I just see alot of potential between Zuko/Katara.

And now I'm just waiting for Tuesday, because that's when "Howl's Moving Castle" is coming onto DVD plus I"m now offically on March Break! ^_^

I can't even play Chopsticks, but a song that consists of three notes. (Oh yes, be impressed.) :P Nova Scotia is so far away... Some day I need to visit more of the East Coast, Canada included.

Good luck with the fanart! (Some day I'll see that series. I've only ever seen one episode on television. I saw they're selling the series on DVD though.)

It's a good series. It has good character growth and plot. That kind be hard to find in North American cartoons.

What is really interesting is that there's alittle behind the scenes bit on the first DVD as an extra. It's only about 10 minutes, but it explains that each of the four nations (Fire, Earth, Air, and water) fighting techniques are based on four anicent fighting styles. It's really interesting and it just shows how much research the creators put into the show.
