Possible lead to a cure
Apr. 15th, 2009 09:48 pmWith all of the bad news lately, a bit of good news has been found.
I heard about this last week, but I didn't find time to type it up until now.
A researcher here in Atlantic Canada has discovered that a common virus can kill the steam cells of breast cancer and it doesn't hurt any of the other cells.

I also heard him say on the news that he thinks he will be able to start human testing within the year and that this could possibly cure other types of cancers.
I feel so very hopeful right now. It's just wonderful to think that after all of these years of the "Run for the Cure" and other events to raise money for cancer research, the hard work is finally paying off.
