List 5 childhood foods that stick in your mind, explain the food, and list why, just WHY you think it was so important as to be memorable:
1. My mom's chocolate drop cookies- These were my FAVORITE cookies as a kid. I will always think of my mom whenever I have these because I've never seen anyone else bake them as well.
2. New England clam chowder- It's a family tradition to have it on Christmas Eve. It just a nice warm meal to have on a cold day and it has good memories with it.
3. Tourtière- Another family tradition, we have this around 23rd of December and it's my brother's favorite Christmas dish. (Don't know why it's the 23rd, we just do.) My mother got this recipe when my family lived in Quebec.
4. Liver Pâté- Apparently, I tried this when I was four and I LOVED it. My parents always joked that I had refined taste for a young child. (My dad was very proud. XD)
5. Instant garlic pasta - It's the first food I learn to cook on the stove by myself without adult supervision. It made me feel very grown up when I learned how.
