Anime Maritime Results

eastofthemoonI went to Anime Maritime yesterday, and it was great! It was a smaller con, but it's not fair to compare it to Anime North which is the biggest anime convention in Canada. Also, this year was only a one day event, however, overall we're all ready planning to go again next year.
Also, what's great is that next year it's going to be a three day even and it takes place on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd (which is Canada weekend for us). So, Stu, Jon, my cousin and I can go up on a Saturday spend a night in the hotel then come back the next day. It's nice to have a con that's only a two hour drive from where I live. No worries of spending money on plane tickets.
There was also a Beatrice (from Umineko) cosplayer who was beyond thrilled that I knew who she was instantly. Apparently, no one had recognized her character before that. Stu and I chatted with her for a while, she seemed like a nice person. We even talk of the idea of her, Stu and I dressing up as Umineko characters next year so we can take photos and maybe do a skit or something. (And she was thrilled when I mentioned I had made a Battler plushie for my friend Jon.)
Also, I won't be online tonight since my cousin is still visiting, but I'll make sure to pop on again Monday for anyone that wants to chat to me. ^_~
