Shipping Meme

eastofthemoonOkay, I decided to do the 30 Day shipping meme that's been going around. Granted, I'm not that picky when it comes to ships/pairings and some of these will probably end up being crack/gag pairings. But hey, that's what makes this fun. ^_~
Also, to play catch up, I decided to post the first three questions all at once. So, here goes.
Day 01 - What is your current favorite ship?
Zelgadis/Amelia has been my favorite pairing for over five years now I think. I think I love this pairing because it's cute to see the most brooding/angst driven character in the show to get paired up with the most energetic and optimistic character. However, you do see that in the show they relay on each as much as Lina and Gourry do on each other.
A lot of fans complain about the lack of Z/A hinting in the new season, but I would argue it's there. (And granted, the show itself was never a romance and it focus more on adventure/comedy and I think a lot of fans have forgotten that thanks to fandom/fanfics.) Sure we don't have as much blushing in Next, but they're paired together to fight and hey Zel was asked by Phil to be Amelia's body guard.
To me, the new season is the stage in which Amelia and Zelgadis are just more relaxed around each other. In fact, you can almost argue they act like they're already together. ^_~
Day 02 - What was your very first ship?
Who would have thought a pig would fall in love with a frog. XD What can I say, I love Miss Piggy and Kermit as a kid and still do. It's hilarious how Piggy keeps going after Kermit. They're just cute. And here's the first time Piggy made hints to Kermit that she wanted him. XD
Day 03 - A pairing that needs to happen now?
This would be my most recent shipping. It's Toma and Mikoto from the series To Aru Majutsu no Index. They're interaction with each other reminds so much of Lina and Gourry (with Mikoto not wanting to admit her feelings and constantly trying to electrocute Toma when she's mad...Yeah, she has the power of static electricity). They're both great characters and they just go well together, which was why I was so glad to hear a second season was going to be made. ^_^
