For once I'm going to talk about a pairing a I liked from a live action show.
Okay, I was a huge Gilmore Girls fans while the show was airing. It had a nice variety of characters and the dialogue always made me laugh. With that said, the ending of the show has always annoyed me, especially since they didn't wrap up the Luke and Lorelai (since you could tell they were suppose to be together from the beginning.) However, I think most of the blame falls on the fact that the original creator of the show, Amy Sherman-Palladino, wasn't able to be there for the last season. According to wiki, the she and her husband couldn't agree on the contract with the network , so the network replaced her with a new writer. This is said especially since Amy had stated in an interview she had planned to end the show on four words, but of course now we have now idea what those four words were going to be. There has been talk by the original creators to do a follow up movie but my hope for that has dwindled since it's been a few years now.
With that said, I'm not saying the series had to end with Luke and Lorelai getting married but it would have been nice to have confirmation they were finally going to be together again. (Even though Luke was being an idiot at some points. Seriously, you find out you have a 12 year old daughter and you decide to hold off your engagement because of that? @_@ I still don't get the logic in that.)
