Magicial Girl Madoka Ending

I just finished watching the last two episodes of Madoka and it was worth it. I thought it was a very satisfying ending, it wasn't depressing but it wasn't "Our lives will go straight back to normal" ending either.
Some minor spoilers ahead.
I think Madoka's wish was the best example of screwing the system ever. I had thought maybe she was going to wish that Kyubey's race gain emotions or something. Becoming a goddess that would erase every witch before it was born, definitely makes more sense.
I do like how the ending isn't perfect, magical girls do have to fight demons and no one except Homura remembers Madoka. It just made it more realistic and I think fans would be complaining if it was too happy and perfect.
My only complaint is that no one punched Kyubei like I've been dying for, but he's shocked reaction at Madoka's wish does make me gleeful each time I see it.
This series raises the bar for a good magical series, just like how Evangelion did for mecha series. All I can say, I will be shocked if no company ever picks this series up.
