I just saw two awesome movies in less than 24 hours. I finally sat down last night to watch Summer Wars, and Stu and I came back from seeing Wreck-it Ralph.

I won't go into spoilers here, but both of these movies are really good and I highly recommend. To start off, the director of Summer Wars is also the same director of The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and The Wolf Children movie that came out last summer. (Still really want to see that.)

It should be mentioned that this director also did the Digimon movies and you can tell since Summer Wars has just about the same plot the second Digimon movie have, but there is one huge difference. The plot for Summer Wars not only makes more sense, but they did they're research on this. Stu was getting out on how accurate the computer tech talk was.

Also, it has great animation and really enjoyable characters. It can get confusing since there is a large cast of characters, but they are all hilarious to watch interact. They act like how many families would react, and they also have one of the best badass grandmas ever. Seriously, I just loved her. Only complaint is that I wish the main girl got to do a bit more stuff in the beginning, but she got to have an awesome fight at the end, so I'll forgive it.

Now, for Wreck-it Ralph....for anyone who has ever played a video game, you should totally see this movie. It as a great cast (including two awesome female characters) and a ton of video game references cameos. I recommend staying for the end credits because they show different art styles from several games. Stu and I had a lot of fun figuring out which style came from which game.

Also, the story itself it good. Yeah, this plot has been done before, and there are a few things that most people can predict will happen, but they present it really well here. Kind of the same that How To Train to Dragon was able to be an awesome movie, even though it as telling a very familiar story.

Also, I love the female characters in this, Vanellope is probably my favorite. I do wish we could see her and Sergeant Calhoun interact with each other since it hinted they would have gotten along well, but hey, that's what fanfic is for.

Again, both of these movies are totally worth seeing. Now, I just need to see the Rise of the Guardians. *stares at Nov 21st hoping it would come faster.*
