Save the Guardians
Nov. 30th, 2012 10:47 pmMany of you have probably noticed how much I've been fangirling over Rise of the Guardians. Yes, it's not a 100 percent movie, but it's an awesome movie and it has such potential for a lot of great sequels and future stories.
However, it's not doing so great in the box office (because the distributors were dumb enough to release it the same weekend Twilight was coming out and what is apparently the lowest number people go to the movies. *grumble*). Why is this important? Because, even if it does sell well on DVD and itunes, if they don't do well in the box office it's unlikely Dreamworks will make more in the franchise. (Megamind is sadly a good example of this happening.)
So, if you're able go see and tag a few people along that think you'll enjoy it with you. This movie needs as much support as it can get. I hate to see this franchise end before it even had a chance to start. (Plus, instead of getting more movies like this, Dreamworks will keep making cheap silly movies like Madagascar 3 because they'll think those are the only things that sell.)
With that said, people should totally check out Rufftoon's DA gallery She's worked on the movie and has been making some great comics based off it.
