Been Crafting
Feb. 27th, 2013 06:03 pmI've been busy making cakes and crafting so figured it was time to show this off. ^_^
First off, the cake I made for my mom's 60th birthday.

Okay, so there's a bit of a family joke here. First off the cows have been part of a very LONG ongoing family joke. To put it simply, they started off as a random trinket my aunt had left behind as a joke when she visited my family one summer. They have since then been dressed as Nuns for a "Sound of Moo-music" joke, taken to Disney world, etc. Since my mom and my aunts are going to Cuba to celebrate her 60th, I decided to dress them on a beach.
It turned out really well, I used crushed graham crackers to make the sand. Also, it was a lemon cake which is my mom's favorite.
Next up, decided to try my hand at wreath making.

I've been looking for a cute Easter wreath for a long while, but I hadn't really seen anything that I absoultely fell in love. So, I decided to make one. I just took a styrofoam wreath, wrapped ribbon around it, and then glue on the eggs and bunny. Then I used the last bit of left over ribbon to make a bow. I'm happy with how this turned out.
I forgot to mention that I also started my own craft blog just for fun. I'm calling it Sweet Tooth Trinkets
