A couple of Treasure
Aug. 31st, 2007 05:04 pmToday, I went out shopping and founds a couple of treasures that I was very happy to get my hands on.
I found and bought the first volume of "The Story of Saiunkoku" (aka "Saiunkoku Monogatari") It has the first five episodes, plus I bought the verison that came with a little black box to put my DVDs in.
Then I found something that I hadn't expected to see and really cheap. The old anime dubbed cartoon of The Wonderful Wizard of OZ on DVD no less. I'm not sure if many people has ever seen or watched this series, but I remember watching it as a kid right after I got home from school.
Actually, it might be something you might want to watch sometime
secondlina because this anime was based more on the actual OZ books. For example: Dorothy doesn't have ruby slippers, but plain white ones like in the book. So now, I'll have to keep my eye out for any of the other DVDs to this one.

1. It's probably the closest thing I'll ever be able to get of the original series.
2. It was REALLY cheap, we're talking less than $10.
Maybe, I'll be lucky and the series will air on tv again sometime, but until then at least I have the DVD.
