What's happening now

I realize it's been ages since my last post. A lot of things has happen since then, so I thought it was time to write it down.

To start with, gullwhacker has gone off to do his Masters in Waterloo. Needless to say, I miss him like crazy. I'm just so glad that we're able to talk everyday, thanks to a computer program he got that he can call me on the phone through his microphone computer. So, we can talk for a long time without it costing too much, because it uses the internet.

Job wise, the librarin assistant job that I was hoping would turn up didn't, so as of last week, I put my resume into Chapters. Now, I know I have all the qualifications needed, and they are always looking for people, so I'm fairly sure they'll give me a call. However, it might not be until October that they decide to give me an interview. It might be a bit of a wait, but I figure it's worth it, because out of all the retail jobs, I believe that Chapters is the one I would be most happy to work in. So, I'll wait. Although, if I don't hear from them by the end of October, then I'm going to look for a job somewhere else (there's only a limit to how long I can wait)

Till then, I signed myself up for a drawing class that's being taught as an evening course at the university. It's going to cover things that I do need to work like landscape, perspective, etc. It was my mother's idea for me to take the course, since I need to do something while I wait and it's something that doesn't involve essays. I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't taken a drawing course since high school and I'm sure my skills have improved a bit since then. So, it should be fun.

Also, I've been watching the anime Kaze No Stigma It's an adventure/supernatural/comedy series and I'm really enjoying. It has a fairly good plot, but I really enjoy the characters in it.

I'm also doing the Name Meme that secondlina did a few days ago.

1. Alanna- I first discovered this name in "Alanna: The Lioness" novel series. I always thought it was a pretty name.

2. Cara- Again, another book name. I first read this name from "The Unicorn Chronicle" series by Bruce Coville

3. Holly- Like the plant

4. Alex- I like how it can be use for either a boy or a girl.

5. Wendy- the girl from "Peter Pan"

6. What's the best thing about your name

Joanne- It's like two names in one "Jo" and "Anne"

7. And Worse?

People have been known to spell my name wrong. ^_^;

Does your computer have a mic? If so, you both should be able to do an audio chat over AIM. I don't usually do it with people, but I do have the option, and it really is nice...free, too, since again it's using the internet. I'd hate for you guys to go broke chatting when you can easily do it for free.

I don't, but the computer program that Gull uses does let his calls be free. I forget what the program is called (I must ask when I next chat to him), but it let's him uses his mic to call me on my phone. So basically, we're chatting through his computer, except my end is through the telephone and it is free, since it's using the internet.

Although, maybe at some point I should get a mic for the computer. Probably would be handy at times to have. ^_^

Either get a mic, or when you upgrade get a Mac. Then you can be 'cool' and chat with dqbunny, secondlina or me (or even all of us together for extra mayhem). ^_- Any way you go about it, having a mic is wonderful!
