eastofthemoon: (To Canada)

I still haven't heard back from Chapters, so I've started to apply to some other places. Hopefully, I'll hear from one of them soon and then I can start working again. (I'm tired of being unemployed.)

In other news, Arrogant Worms, is coming to my town early next months. My friends and I are really excited, we already got tickets. For those who don't know, Arrogant Worms are a Canadian band that tend to write a lot of (if not all) funny/insane songs. If anything, their songs make great AMVs. Here are two good examples:

Also, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] secondlina influence, I drew some some [livejournal.com profile] curiousinsane fanart. I drew Stitch dressed Reggies the Mad Hatter and I posted it over at [livejournal.com profile] alice_love This is my first time drawing to draw Stitch, so I'm pretty happy on how it came out.

Hehe, I have a couple friends who were really into Arrogant Worms. They went to see a concert as well, and had me listen to the song "I Pulled my Groin". XD;;

If only you lived in my city, we just keep losing staff and not keeping any new ones! T_T Still, I hope you find a job you like.

And that is a very awesome drawing of Stitch! It's so cute, and I love the shading you did in his eyes.

(I've always gotten a funny reaction when I tell people I've never seen Alice in Wonderland, though...XD)

Alice in Wonderland scarred me for life, so I'd not blame you. I'm still debating if I really want it in my movie collection. I do love Disney, but that movie... *cringe*

You too, huh? (Mind you, that movie didn't nearly freak me out as much as "All Dogs Go to Heaven did. ^_^;) The movie has never been a top favorite of mine, but I do love Bri-chan's verison of it.

Whoa, really? I didn't know it was very freaky, though I would have expected it to be a...little strange, I guess. XD

I thik I might've seen All Dogs Go to Heaven, but I don't remember much about it.

Oh gosh, All Dogs Go To Heaven... Then again, all of Don Bluth's movies scared me somewhat. That movie definitely had some scary imagery for kids. I'm kind of glad he left the Disney studio way back when... (Land Before Time was good, but now it's spawned so many sequels it's frightening by default. Stop the singing dinosaurs!!)

You know what's really scary...they made a Land Before Time cartoon series. No, I'm not kidding. @_@

I heard about that! Didn't they release it in Canada first, or something? I hardly see any television anymore, so I don't know if it came down here. I think they were releasing it last October, to coincide with...another sequel.

Yeah, I think it was in Canada first (although I don't think it's airing right now, at least that's what the YTV website says.)

Maybe with the series, they'll finally stop with the sequels..hopefully. I've lost count on how many they made.

D'aww, I liked the original Land Before Time, especially the ending song. The ones after just kind of seemed like they were trying to stretch it out as long as they could. (And I don't even remember them singing in the first one...?)

I liked the original, too, that's why all the sequels were so painful. It's just odd to see something that came out when I was young, and they're still cranking out sequels...what, nearly 20 years later? (They didn't sing in the first one. Another reason for the pain.)

Thanks! I should find a job soon, it's just a matter of where and when.

[livejournal.com profile] gullwhacker was the one that introduced me to Arrogant Worms, I forget what the first song I heard was, but it had me laughing for awhile.

Stitch's eyes were the trickest part to colour, it took me a couple of tries to figure it out, but I'm really happy with the result.

By the way, I baked that cookie recipe you posted the other day. They were very yummy. ^_^

The "I Pulled my Groin" is the only one I've heard, but it was pretty funny. XD

It does look like you put a lot of work into the eyes, and it was definitely worth it! Eyes are one of my favourite things to play around with, so oftentimes, I might have notes with a lot of eyes doodled around on the page!

Yay to hear you liked them! They've been one of favourites so far. I never knew a cake mix could make such good cookies. XD

Arrogant Worms! My sister had 'The Last Saskatchewan Pirate', which I had never heard before, but the moment I did I had to have it! And listening to the song, I knew they had to be in Canada. They do have fun music! When I'm not blocked I'll have to search out some more.

(Stitch is adorable! ..but I'm a biased Stitch fangirl anyway. *hugs her Stitch plush*)

I play to buy a CD when I go to their concert. Once I get my hands on it, I can send you some songs if you like. ^_~

On no, not biased at all. (hugs her own Stitch pluch) LOL You should check out http://ribera.deviantart.com/ She does a lot of cute Stitch art.

Ooh! I do wonder if their music is even available down here...

Looks like that artist likes WoW as well. *laughs*
