We had to take my dog to the vet this morning. Last night, I noticed that somehow Abby got a small wound on her right front paw. At first, my mom thought she had just pulled a nail, but this morning we discovered it was actually a small puncture wound. We have no idea where she got this or how it happened.
Thankfully, Abby's not in pain. She wasn't whimpering or limping, but she kept trying to lick it which at this point is a no, no. So, we made a vet appointment and put a bandage on her to keep Abby from licking it. However the little devil managed to slip out of six bandages as my mom and I got her ready for the vet.
The vet gave her some antibiotics to take for the next couple of weeks. We were already giving her pills for her arthritis, by slipping it into a meatball. So, now Abby will be getting two meatballs everyday for the next two weeks. I'm sure she's not complaining. XP
Also, the vet gave us some dog proof bandages that won't slip off so easily. They're a bright fuschia pink, so it looks like Abby is trying to copy 80's fashion. (It's quite funny actually). So, she's fine.
I love my dog, but I swear I've gotten a few grey hairs because of her.

*nervous laugh* Yeah....it only became easy to give her pills within the last year because we finally thought of putting the pills in a meatball. Before that, she would eat around the pills or start eating it and then spit it out. @_@ Pets, you love them and they can drive you crazy at the same time.
